Just like every other year of the last decade or so, the gaming sphere is getting larger and larger and so are the title sales. Last year gaming sales broke all sort s of records, including Modern Warfare 3's being fastest selling home release title on any format including DVD and otherwise.
This amazing popularity of a now multimillion pound gaming industry shows something that has come on in leaps and bounds from the time of Pong. So, what are we expecting to see as the largest games of 2012? Many of which, or accessories and peripherals to aid playing which are available on Manchester deals sites from time to time
Max Payne 3
Though the film is a terrible mess, Max Payne 3 looks set to be an amazing piece of gaming. Created by the crew at Rockstar again, who gave us GTA. This film noir based game looks set to offer something new and exciting of both style and substance if anything is to go by.
It has been held back a number of times as it was felt it needs to be perfect before release - all of which got our hump up a little. However, we're expecting something special from this most important of games in 2012 and will be found for good value with Internet deals, we imagine.
Final Fantasy XIII - 2
The Final Fantasy series has been around a few decades now and this instalment has gotten the hype machine going again and deservedly so. This new FF looks set to be among the best yet and should see us gaming geeks pining for another instalment after we've spent many a day and night playing through the worlds on offer.
The game takes place three years after the original and is based around the player looking into the disappear of Lightening, the main character from the first title.
Mass Effect 3
Probably one of the biggest games of this year, the third instalment of Mass Effect should put the icing on Commander Shepard's trilogy. In this version expect to see the Reapers finally invade earth, let's see how York deals with that.
Get ready for some amazing combat, inventive story lines and a more refined game than the previous two versions and hopefully the best Mass Effect yet. We should expect to see it in the first quarter of 2011, so get your savings ready.
Borderlands 2
The original Borderlands was a bit of a hit surprise when it first surfaced in 2009, though Gearbox Software, who created the original will have to up their game to ensure they live up to the originals excellence. We're getting ready for a range of colour and a load of wacky weapons, bigger environments and an array of new characters.
Expect a fast paced game that you won't be able to look away from the screen from for a second lest be punished in a memorable manner.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengance
Platinum games has taken over the control and development of the original Metal Gear series and Metal Gear Rising is one of the new titles we've received. However, the game is being over seen by Hideo Kojima and his studio are to act as producers.
To be honest, as big fans of the Metal Gear series we're more than excited about this instalment which will more than likely arrive in late 2012.
Halo 4
A new trilogy of the Halo series is expected to arrive towards the end of the year. Microsoft's internal studio is rearing up its pens and on the way to creating the best trilogy in the series yet. An all star team has been assembled, so Halo fans we're set to see a Bungie-less game in Halo 4.
Of course we can also expect a number of the usual instalments in the Call of Duty, FIFA and Assassins Creed series'. All of which are more than likely going to be exciting updates of the current versions of these games. Let's hope for a surprise or two along the way as well.
